This motorcycle is part of the Estate of Bud Grant. He was the owner of a local Harley Davidson dealership here in Regina Saskatchewan, Canada.

What you are looking at is a very rare 1913 Indian 80D113. It is all original in paint and parts, and it still runs. The only thing missing is the bubble on the horn.

Originally the bike came from Salt Spring Island, British Columbia. The story goes when Bud was in the Navy in 1946, he saw this bike leaning up against a tree. He enquired about it at the house nearby. An older fellow came out and said it was his sons. He was in the war and hadn’t been back yet. Bud was curious about this as the war had been over for almost two years by then. The old guy then said, “No he hadn’t been back from the First World War.”

Bud told him his son was probably missing in action and would not likely be coming back by now. Still this old father was reluctant to part with his son’s bike as it was something he remembered him by.

Bud told him he was starting a museum and he made an agreement, if his son should ever come home, he would return the bike if he still wanted it. Grant left his name and number but never did hear back.

Priced at $75,000 CAD
