(Click on the pictures for a larger view) This motorcycle is part of the Estate of Bud Grant. He was the owner of a local Harley Davidson dealership here in Regina Saskatchewan, Canada. It is a 1936 Harley Davidson Twin 36VLH2409 - Black and grey in colour. Last in its series. Originally purchased by the then "Regina Steam Laundry" for the sole purpose of pick-up and delivery services. It originally had an open 8' box type commercial side car. This motorcycle also has a reverse gear. This company had two older Harleys and sold all their units in the early 50's when it became difficult to obtain drivers who wanted the creature comforts of radios and heaters. The fleet provided service 8 hours daily 6 days a week. Grant Budd purchased this one in 1953 as he considered it for a service delivery vehicle for his own business. Two weeks after purchasing the bike he was asked to come and pick up the log book for it. Unbelievably it had 410,000 miles Grant used it year round and took it out of service in 1965 due to unobtainable wheel hubs. Priced at $35,000 CAD For further details you may contact Al Elmer at: Thundercity Power and Leisure by email aelmer@thundercity.ca, Call Toll Free in Canada 1-866-568-8697 or 1-306-352-8697 if outside Canada.
