Curriculum Vitae

VEHICLE TYPE:

This is a 1969 CB 750K series Honda Motorcycle - (Sandcast Version). With serial numbers:  Frame 1000901 - Engine 1000994,this example is among the first 1000 built and distributed worldwide.

HISTORICAL MILESTONES:

The CB 750k series motorcycle has established the record of being the most produced motorcycle model of a series. In its 10 year history of mass production, over 400,000 units were sold world-wide.

It was the first mass produced motorcycle to have a hydraulic front disc brake available to the public.

With its modern innovations for the time, low maintenance and durability, this SOHC 4 cylinder motorcycle gained its reputation as the "First of the Super Bikes. It was also voted "Motorcycle of the Century" in New Zealand. A jury of Top New Zealand motorcycle journalists decided this in 1999.

RESTORATION RECORD:

This motorcycle was purchased locally by my father, Rev. B.C. Hodson, in the fall of 1970. It has been kept in my family ever since. A full frame up restoration was begun in June 2000.
